Principle of Operation

Also, the inner surface features with high-quality tensile steel to handle charging and discharging of materials including mud, clay. External framework of the scoop is reinforced with an additional sheet, against wear and tear, and work in abrasive environments.
Types of Mechanical Clamshell Buckets
Single-Line Touchdown Mechanical Grabs
Single rope touchdown grabs bucket is designed for cranes with the specifications of single hoisting drum to open and close the grabs bucket. Grabs used for underwater operation through single cable shipboard cranes.
Two-Rope Operated Clamshell Buckets
A two-rope grab buckets required a cranes with two different hoisting drum for holding rope, and closing rope. Grab buckets commonly used in port, docks, and industrial sites for loading and unloading the variety of bulk material including sand, gravel, coal, iron ore, powder.
Four-Rope Dual Scoop Grabs
